Too busy! I have been offered the position of Supervisor of the Sexual Offenders Unit...In addition to being the Supervisor of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health units. I have respectfully declined, but it seems like assuming this role may be in the future. It has always been the same, wherever I have worked. I am the clean up crew. I am brought in to clean up the messes that the previous people made. It sucks! They want you to work yourself into a grave, and when you quit, you are like discarded luggage. The people who do not work themselves into a grave are fired or quit before they get fired. There has been another shakeup (jockeying for power). My boss's boss has now assumed command of all of medical services, and operations/security/etc. She is really cracking the whip on everyone. I respect her to pieces, but it IS tough! On a lighter note...We had a great time at the Flamenco dinner dance place, and Mom said it was the best birthday she had ever had. Makes me feel good! And, it is HOT outside...abt 112 degrees, and getting hotter. (Of course, I have to be in the heat, visiting the different units I supervise.) Hoping to see Al Gore's movie on the greenhouse effect.
