Its just me now. The last psychologist quit on Monday...run out. I am left running a 440 bed facility, the Reception and Assessment Center, the Mental Health Unit, the Sex Offender unit, the 2 Substance Abuse units, the Violent Offenders units. My bosses are idiots, as I will leave too, if I can. The Acting Supertindent took some last minute leave, just as the Feds have arrive on site again to check us out. This is just a joke! BUT.....out of nowhere came a phone all from a doctor I worked with in the adult system, and she wants me to move to her facility, and take over the Adolescent unit. Guess there has been a BIG shake up there, and she was given the "acting" position, and re-organized the entire unit. She is a very neat person, and we think very much alike. She put me on the phone with her boss, while I was sitting with her boss's old crony...so he gave a great rec for me on the spot. Too much drama! I talked with my friend later in the day, and gave her my "reqirements", which she said they could fulfill. It would be a longer drive, but a bunch more $. I just need to stay with it another 1.5 years, then retire, and do something I REALLY like. On a Personal note: the Travel Agent deal is final, so I will once again be looking for some great/fun/cheap but first class trips; my AC busted again, so I will be replacing the entire unit...$$$. It was so bad in my house, that I moved out and into my mother's home; the car needs a new battery, which I will do ASAP. In this heat, it will also collapse very soon; I will be at my sister's home, dog sitting for the next week. I am looking fwd to checking out some new AA meetings.
