I attended a new AA meeting last night, and received my 21 year chip. There was a person there who had filed agency charges against me, abt 6 years ago. He had just "made them up", prompted by some very unhealthy people. Of course, I fought the charges. I got in touch with the federal government, and they stated that the State of AZ had been malicious, and retaliatory. It went all the way to our director, who ordered that everything be rescinded and shredded. After the damage had been done to me, this person denied his statements. The agency was left with egg on its face. However, I was very traumatized. I knew this person would re-surface, eventually. As it turns out, I liked the AA meeting, and it fits into my already crowded schedule. And I need the support. There was a newly sober young man who brought his baby. She was SO cute...abt 6 months old. I was reminded of my early recovery, when I took my sons to meetings rather than leave them at home, alone. And I was reminded that they have had AA in their lives for the last 21 years also, so know what recovery and change is all about. I also went to an Alanon meeting on Thursday night, and am convinced that that's primarily where I need to be right now.

Another great party is coming up. My sister will turn 50 on St Pats Day. She is having a HUGE party complete with the lead dancer from RiverDance. My niece will be flying in from NY, and assorted family will be here from CA. Think green!
I have had difficulty posting. My computer likes to "clean house"...And seems to erase all the cookies. Anyhow, back to posting! ..........It has been a most enjoyable week. My 21st AA birthday was on Valentine's Day, and my family and I celebrated by going to Binkley's...The best gourmet restaurant I've ever eaten at. Too awesome!!! This is what we ordered! Cold appetizer- sweet Potato Cannelloni, Slow Roasted Baby Beets, Steak Carpaccio, Mache Salad..... Hot Appetizer- Bluefin Tuna, Cornbread and Soprasetta Stuffed Quail, Wild Mushroom Soup, Sea Urchin.....Fish- Ono, Seared Sea Scallops...... Meat- Ribeye, Venison.... Cheese- an assortment of six cheeses......Dessert- Chocolate Fondue, Raspberries.....All were similar to a cookbook we all have entitled, "French Laundry".............Then, on Wednesday, a bunch of my friends and I took a limo to Casino Arizona. That was also fun. It was a brand new limo, complete with ice bucket and glasses. Upon arrival, we checked it all out, ate dinner, gambled some, and caught the show (not bad). It was a great idea, and I think we will do something similar for my youngest sister's B-Day.........Also, one of my interns is a School Psychologist, and she had the latest assessments for Autism/Asperger's. I was just delighted to review those......And I finally got my 4-10 hour days back. So at last, I can have Fridays off again. All the psychologists are getting too worn down, so this will keep a bunch of us from looking for other employment. At least it will for me! And, the last event of the week- I sold my old Ram to a lady who cleans our offices. She was just delighted to get it, and it was a good thing for me to do. I'm checking out SUVs (sort of). So, it was a fun, busy, productive week. Looking forward to attending the Arabian Horse show and the Highland Games next weekend.
